Blockchain-based social karaoke DApp SOMESING has achieved over 1M in downloads and 10M TXs on the blockchain network in Sep 2021 verifying that its well-designed token economy has been actively working among its users since its mainnet version launch in Nov 2019.
Kim Hee-bae, CEO of SOMESING, said, “We are very happy to achieve 1 million downloads as a result of steadily upgrading the service since the launch of the official service based on the blockchain mainnet in November 2019. In particular, achieving 10 million token transactions on the blockchain just a little more than a year after the migration to Klaytn mainnet in July 2020 is significant in that community support for the contents created on the platform and the distribution of SSX tokens paid as rewards within the app have been working well as originally designed, he said.
Currently, 15K to 20K songs are sung on SOMESING in 24 hours, of which about 2K are posted on the platform and are actively shared with other users.
SOMESING also successfully updated v.2.0.0 in September 2021, which greatly strengthened users’ convenience.
Choi Hee-Seok, CPDO (Chief Product Development Officer) of SOMESING, explained, “In order to create a more enjoyable user experience while communicating with songs online, we have reorganized into a menu structure that can constantly show users what they want to sing and what they created.”
The main contents of the v.2.0.0 update included a complete reorganization of the feed menu, MR recommendation on the sing page, duet song recommendation, profile decorating feature in users’ ‘My Page’, the page where users can see songs that they have supported, the page where users can see duet invitations, adding ‘My Playlist, and many more.
SOMESING is currently launched in 160 global countries and supports Korean, English, Japanese, and Indonesian. When the COVID-19 situation stabilizes, it plans to start expanding its target market globally, especially in SEA regions first, starting with the market penetration in Indonesia.
